Kieran has the ability to lift objects twice his weight. With enough concentration, he can level half a mile radius of road or earth with a single stomp of his feet or a punch. He can also send shock waves half a mile radius with a clap of his hand. His partial durability allows him to withstand hard physical blows to an extent. He has tougher skin, denser bones and stronger muscles than most humans but he is not invulnerable.
LIMITATIONS:
Newton's Laws of Motion still applies
Most of what he can lift are not necessarily things he will have the energy to throw
He is still susceptible to pain and breaking of skin, it just takes longer
If he lifts objects heavier than he usually can, his bones can snap
He doesn't heal any faster than normal people

PERSONALITY: Kieran is a gentle and caring individual. He’s generally a happy person, never short of a smile and kind words. He attributes his calmness to his father. He modeled himself after him mostly and has built his character around his silent confidence, humble pride and genuine concern for everyone else besides himself.
He is always around to lend a helping hand even when the person refuses to ask or doesn’t want it at all. He loves freely and unconditionally. This might be misconstrued as him being a masochist and a pushover but he knows how to stand his ground. He is loyal to a fault and will stand by his friends and loved ones no matter what.
His quietness is sometimes taken for aloofness, but he's anything but emotionally uninvolved. He's highly observant and empathetic, sometimes understanding better than others their motivations and emotions.
If he doesn't receive positive reinforcement he succumbs to quiet insecurity. That said, he would never actively seek out validation as he doesn't want people to think he's the sort to just fish for compliments.
Kieran's critical of himself and acutely aware of his own failings but shows more patience with the imperfections of others. His expectations of his own ability to understand the problems of others occasionally causes him problems as he will refuse to bring whatever is troubling him to the attention of the offender.

♦ THE HISTORY ♦
The Cole family dealt with life much like how they hunted. They were patient, they set attainable targets, and when the time was right, they sprung into action. They would then enjoy the spoils together as a family. Growing up without a mother didn't really shake them as a unit although Kieran knew they all dealt with the loss in their own quiet ways.
He attributed most of his passions and his personality to his father who, though stoic, never left them feeling unloved. They spent a lot of time together growing up. They went fishing, hiking and hunting together on the regular. Kieran was admittedly satisfied with the life they had.
Until he hit puberty at the ripe old age of twelve. Kieran was a mild-mannered young man. He hardly cursed or let his anger get the best of him and he was well liked by his peers and the adults he encountered. They lived in a relatively tolerant community and bullying didn't happen too often. But he was witness to a bullying incident on the way back from the town square. Two boys were picking on another and usually Kieran would call an adult to settle it but the bullied boy didn't look like he could wait so Kieran yelled at the boys at first. The good thing was they stopped bullying the smaller boy but the bad thing was, Kieran became the target. He took quite a beating before blacking out and when he came to, he was in the hospital. Both the bullies were on his left and right. They looked worst than he felt.
He was questioned by the local cop about what happened. Kieran was told that the ground surrounding them had cracked and the boy that was bullied told them Kieran was the reason why the other two were in the hospital. Not understanding what happened, Kieran clammed up until his father finally came. With two people in suits. The woman took the cop away while the man sat with Kieran and his father, explaining the situation. His father waited until the man finished his explanation before telling him that while he isn't refusing to let go of his son, they would need a minute to talk amongst themselves about it.
When the man left, Kieran found out that his mother had been a mutant. She was also recruited into a school much like Bellefonte before she came to America and it had benefited her life in the long run. His father told him that he understood that being away from the family was going to be difficult but with an ability like his, it was a lot better that he got training for it rather than become a danger to himself. Thinking immediately of his twin, he asked his father and the recruiter if it was okay for him to have the rest of the day before they go just so he can pack and properly say goodbye.
Without his twin, Kieran had thought he would be lost in Bellefonte and for the first year, he was. He would spend his time locked up in his room either texting her or their dad. They were nothing but encouraging the entire time and going back home was the highlight of his stay. He often wondered why his twin didn't manifest but considering the difficult time he had training, he honestly didn't want her to have to live through it.
But after his second year at Bellefonte, he found out that she manifested. He was beyond thrilled, despite the worry he felt for his father being alone. But when she finally arrived, and they managed to place both of them in the same dorm room, the Cole twins finally felt at peace after being away from each for so long. It didn't come without it's set of problems of course but overall, they were just glad they were together at long last.
Kieran began to feel more at home at Bellefonte and graduated his training earlier than his education. Soon enough it was time for him to choose a career. He had thought of joining the military, like his parents had at his age, but that would mean going away from his family again and that thought didn't sit quite well with Kieran. So his next option was law enforcement. He signed up for the police academy training and was minted a recruit by his nineteenth birthday.
He entertained the notion of asking his dad to move to Montana but something kept holding him back. He kept thinking his father wouldn't even abandon their home because it was a family home. His parents bought the house a bit after graduating high school. It was also the location for their wedding so Kieran abandoned the idea and continued to visit his father whenever he could. Until the exposure of 2014.
It was fated that they moved back to Oregon. He could finally see his dad whenever he wanted and he took advantage of Bellefonte's tuition as he went back to school to get a college degree in psychology. It was then that he felt a change of career was inevitable. He wasn't quite cut out to be a police officer but he still wanted to help people so he became a dispatch officer instead. He found it a lot more rewarding being a first responder in that manner and could see himself in this line of work for a long time.
