"Well, everything does have its advantage." Carter pointed out. Sure, he'd absolutely enjoy being front and center to Cam's head exploding out of a confused fury. "But you know it'd be much greater to have a ringer in your corner when you need a little help." And who better to argue for her than the man doused in an annoying, workable charm? He'd vouch for her choices any day.
Carter waved his hand at the thought that it would be weird. "Come now, Kenny. I'd love to support you and, obviously, your colleagues in their endeavours." He mightn't strictly look at her, but that was okay, his presence could be enough as his eyes went elsewhere.
"The real question is; would it be weird for you?"

Yours are the sweetest eyes i've ever seen
He was right, he was so right. Kenny was not very good at arguing. Not with her friends, and sure as hell not with her family. Cameron was her big brother, she loved him more than words could express because he'd been her go-to since birth. Arguing with him felt like arguing with herself. At least with Carter there, he'd levelly be able to explain that Kenny obviously needed the experience. And her parents would understand after some calm and collected conversation. Cam was the only one likely to blow his top. "This is why we're friends, babe. Right there. Dunno what I'd do without your ability to charm anyone," She flashed him a smile.
Her eyes rolled dramatically, but her smile widened. She wasn't in the least surprised that he'd be thoroughly entertained by her colleagues. Who wouldn't? Besides, it made things easier if he was focused on others while still being there for her. Even if he didn't take one look at her, after everything was said and done, after she changed into less revealing clothes, they could always get a drink together or something. Assuming he didn't find someone to take home, which was highly unlikely.
"Absolutely not, which means you have to come opening night. Just for moral support and a celebratory drink, deal?"

Carter considered what it would be like to involve himself on their potential sibling drama. It was easy for him to put himself into that situation if it meant helping her, but he'd never been a fan of when someone did that to him. But this was different, right? This was like taming an immediate fire. And she was a bit like a sister.
"Oh, of course. To support you fully." Carter replied, nodding his head firmly; "That'd be the only reason."
He shrugged his shoulders then, unable to help himself dragging them back to where they started. "And to keep our dear Cameron out as well, of course."
