Cam didn't lose it, and that was nice. For everything he knew about the brother, he was almost positive it wouldn't be so. Still, it was easy for him to sit there and be a comfort. They hugged, and it was all sweet and perfect. Kenny barely argued with him but she had some pretty good points to make.
Was that trust from dear Cameron? Carter looked surprised, and slightly suspicious at the news. It was like he knew, though, because he was already pointing out the oddity. "I'm flattered, dear." He pointed out finally, grinning at the fact.
"And, of course, as I'll visit frequently, I'll often be there to keep an eye." He reached up to pat the hand on his shoulder lightly "Not on you specifically, dear. You understand." The last thing he wanted was to see Kenny dance like that, given how sibling-like their relationship felt.

I'm the friend you need when you're lost and don't know what to do notes: So sorry I took so long! mood: I have no idea what is happening right now words: 317 ❥ Cameron smiled at his sister. Of course he wasn't going to yell at her. As much as he wanted to, and as much as he probably would have. But she was still his sister, and as protective as he was of her, it wasn't his life. So instead, he was lecturing her. Which coming from Cam, was just as bad as being yelled at. "Don't make me take it back, dear." Cameron shot a side glance at Carter. "As much as I want to blame you for putting ideas into her head and say this is your fault, I know it's not. Do not mistake this for friendship or likeness." There it was, the I don't like you, so don't piss me off thing that was so common of Cameron when it came to Carter. Cameron was still surprised about the whole thing, to be too angry at the pair. He turned to his sister again. "Just... I don't want you getting hurt. So many things could go wrong. You've seen the shows, ,and yes, they're not real, but the threat is very much so." Cameron stared into Kenny's eyes. "Promise me you and that idiot of yours won't do anything stupid." He knew they - or at least Kenny - wouldn't, but he still had to make her promise. He wouldn't be happy if she didn't.
He waited until he received a reply and looked at the time. "Are you two going to stay for dinner? I can cook pretty well now. Unlike when we were kids." He gave a cheeky grin and headed for the kitchen, looking through his fridge for something to eat while waiting for their replies. Either way, he was happy to host them, or eat by himself, didn't matter much to him. Though he kinda hoped they'd stay, for the sake that he hadn't had dinner with his sister in awhile. ♚ Made by SYLVIA of SA and GS ♚ |

Your Song
Yours are the sweetest eyes i've ever seen
She snorted loudly at Carter's remark about not watching her dance and she covered her face with her hand, "I'm almost begging you not to pay any attention to my dances. There are plenty of better things for you to look at." She couldn't imagine having him watch her, it'd be almost as bad as Cameron watching. All she could ask of him was that he stick close by in case she might need something, but even then, she didn't honestly believe that she would.
It was just a precaution for her brother's sake.
McKenna rolled her eyes for good measure at her brother making her promise like she was twelve years old again, "Yes Cameron, I already told you I'll be on high alert. Cart wouldn't let anything bad happen to me anyway." Not to mention, she couldn't see the owner being the type to let something happen like that in his club. The guy was kind of scary and she didn't think anyone would actively try to be on his bad side. Her brother's offer for them to stay for dinner made her smile, but she frowned shortly after, "I would, but I have rehearsal and I still need to look over some music that the owner suggested. Rain check?"

Watching the siblings interact offered a typical exchange. He was the older brother who cared for her safety, and she was the younger soul who didn't care for that care. It almost made him want to laugh, but he knew if he broke the silence like that, he'd never hear the end of it. His name was brought up for a kind of good measure, like he would act as the bouncer. If it got him through the doors on a regular basis, he'd take it.
"I could stay, if you like. I assume your request for a dinner date was really aimed towards me." He replied then, despite how Kenny had shot the idea down. The grin on his face was ripe with a special kind of sarcastic humour.
