A hand on her shoulder took fabric like it was hers to do so, and it absolutely was. Anything the lawyer might have wanted from her, Natalie would happily give. The magnetic pull Teddy naturally carried inched her just a little bit closer; the tip of her nose brushed against hers as she closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the mere proximity they lingered in.
The curve of her mouth must have given away the pleasant surprise towards the answer she was given. She had no idea how long she could keep such wonderful company, and to be granted a few hours was more than she was expecting. "Lucky me." She replied, her other hand reaching out to wrap around her waist.

Again, Teddy found herself practically stuck in the space so close to this woman. It was so difficult to maintain a proper conversation with her when there was nothing left between them. The threat of believing in luck appeared again, and she did her best to ignore it.
"You could come over. Bring everyone. I could ask her if it's okay." She offered then, and while it wasn't something she complete thought through, she was positive of one thing; "She's dying to meet you."

Surprise immediately filtered into Natalie's expression. When asking how long she had with the lawyer, she was glad to hear she could keep her for a few hours. Now that dynamic change, and Natalie certainly wasn't complaining. Her first thought was to ask if she was sure to be okay, but that was quickly remedied with Teddy's latter statement.
She had to kiss her for that.
"If you're sure it'll be okay." Natalie said finally. "What have you told her about me?"

Teddy knew without a second to spare that Natalie would immediately question her. She was too kind not to. Combating that thought before it could reach the air between them was proving to be a worthwhile artform.
A small point of contact against her lips was hardly enough, and it only left her wanting more. Putting a timeline to this was the worst decision she'd ever made.
"She's actually known about you from the very beginning. She has friends in the bar where we met." Teddy tried to explain, wondering what kind of person that made Emmett sound like. She didn't seem bothered by the fact; that was just how she was, "She knows everything about how I feel about you."

Agreement came too easily, and Natalie didn't realize how overwhelming the thought could be, especially as Teddy answered her question. From the very beginning. It definitely wasn't the answer the trainer expected, but she didn't hold it negatively. Though it made her wonder what sort of person Teddy's best friend was. She'd meet her soon enough.
And apparently she knew everything about the lawyer's feelings for her. That was enough to steal the air from her lungs. She wanted to kiss her again already. Natalie had yet to tell her own best friend the details of Teddy - let alone how she felt about the lawyer. "I'm looking forward to meeting her." She confirmed with a nod. "Should you call?"

There was a kind of happiness that grew on her features that Teddy couldn't ignore. Something as simple as being upfront and honest with Emmett about Natalie brought something so new to her face that she definitely hadn't expected.
"I have no doubt that she's looking forward to finally meeting you." Teddy replied. She could practically see the amusement mixing with the joy on her friends face at the mere thought.
"I should." Calling Emmett seemed like the next point of call, but rather than reach for her phone, she was leaning in to kiss her again.

It seemed practically settled, then. The only logical next step would to be was call her and ask if it would be alright, despite Teddy's reassurance that it would be. Natalie couldn't help the way she continued to smile at the idea. It was sweet of her for how she apparently spoke of the trainer.
And although an agreement was made, there was pressure against her lips before the lawyer even made an attempt to reach for her phone. It was welcomed, though. The arm around Teddy's waist instinctively tightened, pulling her counterpart completely against herself with little intention of letting go again so quickly.

Teddy knew her priority was to make contact with Emmett. She knew it was the first logical step before she promised anything, but she also knew how excited the mechanic would be to be allowed into this particular part of her life.
There was a mutual agreement to the fact that that could wait, at least for a minute. An arm was keeping her pinned and she had nothing against the welcomed pressure. Hands dragged up from her shoulders to loop around her neck and keep herself just as close; parting ways now seemed ridiculous.
She smiled against her lips instinctively, and when it was necessary to breathe, she barely gave herself the space to do so. "You'll stay, right?" Teddy asked, unwilling to pull away despite the importance of her own words; "It's been too long."

Once again, Natalie found herself consumed by Teddy's presence. How was she supposed to let her go for long enough to make a call when she spoke such sweet words? Even when that necessary fraction of distance was created, the trainer kept her eyes shut. She could feel the smile that was so close to her own mouth, and with the request asked of her, she could hardly contain her own.
"Of course." The formality of asking wasn't even necessary. Natalie doubted she would be able to sleep in a bed without the lawyer's company that night, it had been too long, though only a couple of days. She kissed her again, and as brief as her intentions were, it was anything but. "I'll stay whenever you want."
