The power of “suggestion”, can also be referred to as “siren” like abilities. Simply by speaking an particularly pleasent warm tone that generally makes the person a lot more suggestable to her wants she’s speaking to. For example, while she cannot make a person outright tell the truth, or force them to do something, she can simply suggest to them that they want to do exactly as he says; and, due to the nature of her ability, they will.

LIMITATIONS:
While she can extend her ability to address a larger group then one individual, her power’s strength is significantly weakened; only simple instruction works on mass grouped subjects.

The stronger she concentrates and focus on the subject, the stronger it's effects. Casual, offhand remarks spoken with her ability may have some influence, but far less then if she was in a full state of using her power.

While more casual remarks have little after effects on herself, the full state of subject manipulation (intense concentration, total focus on subject) will trigger headaches or migraines shortly after and are emotionally draining. The worst effects are triggered when addressing a large group of people with the full concentration and focus required for optimum effect; the effects of which are an intense migraine and violent nosebleed, which result in her collapsing. This is the source for her blood phobia since her mentally associates blood with that state.

PERSONALITY: Simply put; she’s a woman that has a lot of demons that she hoped she has come out on the other side, having hopefully beaten, her biggest fear is the idea that she would ever fall back into old self-destructive ways of living So She relies a lot on the stability of rules, instructions and order, and often refers to these when confronted with a situation in which his ability could become a factor. She feels her power isn’t morally decent, and when asked specifically about it, it’s the only thing she’ll try and avoid directly addressing, and she tries to avoid using it when possible -even if it does….slip out every once in awhile- .She keeps to herself, finding comfort in quiet solitude, choosing to avoid social occasions in favour of time alone. She throws herself into her workload and often uses it as an excuse not to be involved with anything beyond it. She doesn’t suffer fools easily, Interactions with others are kept simple and straight to the point, so to attempt to avoid any further emotional attachment. Although not deemed by her to be completely unnecessary, it’s simply a safer manner in which to live.

When she’s not guarded she’s Light hearted and loving; Claire is fun to be around when she doesn’t have a drink in front of her. She is brave and loyal as well; She does rush into trouble too much sometimes, though, her curious nature and ambition causing her put the thought of danger aside from the wealth of discovery.

♦ THE HISTORY ♦

- Claire parents in their younger days lived a bohemian lifestyle, so when Nina gave birth to their first born, she surmised adapting.Growing up she lived in a small town house on the outskirts of New York and had a pleasant and loving upbringing. She was sheltered from the world’s problems and brought up in a privileged environment since his parents were socially and financially in the higher brackets. She was taught from a young age the importance of social connotations, rules and limitations, and rather than rebel against his Father’s lessons in manners.

- Once she entered education, however, life got significantly harder.

At 12 she was valiantly fighting her case against her principal and deputy teacher on a recent exam she’d failed, growing more frustrated as they were adamant they weren’t going to do anything against a group of girls that were bulling her suddenly her voice shifted, during which she suggested to them otherwise, and they agreed to take action against her bullies without further questions. While she thought this odd, she shrugged it off.

In the coming weeks, her ability grew more prominent, the velveteen control lacing his voice whenever she was frustrated or feeling intense emotion,

Her parents began to worry about her, as she became more reclusive to avoid accidentally affecting others with her ability; they were thankful when within two weeks representatives of a specialist Academy arrived, promising Claire help with the recent manifestation of her power.

And like everyone else she went to the Academy without too much of a fuss

For the first few years of her time in the school; was uneventful -Naturally heading the choir, until eventually thanks to a slow building dependency on sleeping pills due to her powers which lead to harder drugs, booze and just generally became a hot mess which continued well throughout her 20’s, she hit rock bottom and hit it hard, got into a toxic lifestyle based on the drug lifestyle…...until about the age of 27 where she did her up most to get out of the lifestyle slowly clearing up her act, she is now two years sober and after getting a minor degree in counseling, she got a job back in the school as a counsellor -On the provision that she has weekly therapy and drug tests
