Lane has the ability to move from one place to another without occupying the space in between. His specific type of teleportation excites his body's internal molecular/atomic energy triggering an implosion before porting, leaving behind a portion of the energy exerted when his molecules break apart and reassemble in a new location instantaneously.
LIMITATIONS:
His power is mostly a "line of sight" teleportation. As long as he can see the destination, he can port there. However, if the destination is within 30 feet and he has a pretty good idea of where and how far the jump is, he can potentially travel out side of buildings, up a story of a house, ect.
For now he can only teleport himself and maybe a backpack but nothing more. Things like limbs and other essentials start to get left behind if he tries anything more.
