Pyrotechnic Gas: Adene has the odd power to burp and/or fart fire. Some would say she’s unlucky to have such a gross and random ability, and they’re not wrong. Depending on your definition of unlucky. She does recognize its flaws and impracticality, but she finds it unique, hilarious, and one of the kind. Anyways. Adene has a special sac-like organ that replaces her appendix, that has tubes connected to her stomach. It constantly gathers the methane and other gasses that her body naturally produces, filling the sac to the maximum amount that a normal lung can hold. The other tubes connect to the back of her throat, below the her uvula and near her vocal cords.

Other tubes travel near the descending colon. The inner walls are lined by an organic form of platinum and when the gas rushes past at the high speed and interacts with the gas, a special enzyme her body secretes turns into a vapor that also mixes with it all, bringing forth hot fire. Adene can somewhat control the release with muscles by the organ, at her current level. The special enzyme that mixes with the fire also is bonded to her body’s cells, making her body immune to her own flames. She also can lengthen and shorten the flow of these flames also because of her practice.

LIMITATIONS:

• Can only do this with her own body, not someone else’s.
• Her body is only immune to her own flames, not others.
• She can only create flames, not control them.
• The stream of fire normally only reaches up to 6 inches (15.25 cm), to 3 ft. (91.44 cm) maximum.
• Her maximum for each barely breaks the record books. 1 minute and 30 seconds for burp, 2 minutes and 50 seconds. However, that is rare and takes some work and luck. Normally only last from 2-15 seconds each. However, the longer it’s held, the more painful and weaker it gets each time. Adene also needs about a 1-4 hour break until the sac is refilled. It isn’t always reliable, or even predictable. At times she doesn’t even have proper control.
• The flames are 800 degrees F (426.66 degrees C) on average. They can’t get any hotter than 900 degrees F (482.22 degrees C). But also rare and unpredictable. It can get much cooler from time to time.
• Normal flame weaknesses, such as ineffective against water, cold air can negate it, etc.

SIDE-EFFECTS:

• Sometimes, especially if sick or under the influence of strong drugs can lack proper care and control.
• Her body needs 4,400 calories a day to fuel herself and to have the proper chemicals that are used to protect her body.
• Can be rather gross, disgusting, inappropriate, etc. socially at times.
• Needs to wear special clothing that is fireproof. As well as other stuff like fireproof blankets and such.
