Gwin had actually had a good night sleep. She had closed her eyes. And that was it. She woke up, in a bed not drenched in sweat. Her hair wasn't a tangled mess and she actually seemed to resemble a human being when she gazed into the mirror. She smiled. It felt good to sleep. No visions, so head aches. She felt energetic, ready for the day.
She wandered out of her room, noticing that adena hadn't risen yet. Gwin made herself up a coffee, and went to perch on the couch, gripping the warm cup with both hands and letting the heat penetrate her skin.

Adena didn't know much about her current roommate and for the most part, she didn't mind about that. She kept to herself too, only talking to the people around her when she had to. And when she did, she was rarely ever positive or good.
She walked through the main door of their shared space, wide awake and heading back in from a morning run. Her attention was immediately to hit a shower before the rest of the day got going, but Gwin had come out of her hiding hole. She couldn't help herself.
"Morning, sweetheart. You're looking slightly less shit than usual." Adena pointed out, glancing at her with a broad smile, like those words were genuinely friendly and nice.

Gwin looked up from the steam of her coffee to see adena. Wow. She was actually kind a pretty when Gwin could see her without the tired mist of pain which usually haunted her vision. Everything seemed clear. Shit this was nice. She brought the ceramic mug to her lips again, taking another sip before actually smiling at her. "Thanks!! The wonder of wishing upon a star" She dark haired girl joked.
Gwin went to rub the back of he neck. It felt a little stiff and sore. "Can you chuck me some pain killers?" She said, still chipper and clearly in good spirits. Her neck ache must have been just a result of sleeping in a funny position right?? She leaned back onto the sofa, sighing contently. Not feeling like death seemed to be a luxury these days for her

Adena grinned easily at the response to her own humour. At least she didn't take it personally like most other people did. That would have warranted an eye roll and a quick exit forsure.
Eyebrows rose at the request for pain killers. Instinctively, she looked down at herself, seemingly worn down from running laps around the school this morning. "Do I look like I put shit like that in my body?" She asked her, finishing the thought with a quick laugh before she took steps towards her room.

| SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THESE; WHO AM I TO DISAGREE?

Gwin watched Adena turn into her room. She chuckled slightly, before standing and walking behind the couch in search of some pain killers. She looked into the cuboards, squinting slightly. Her eyes searched the dim cache, but she had trouble bringing her eyes to focus. Her lids closed for a moment. Maybe it was just because she had just woken up?
When she opened them again, everything had gone blurry. A pain, like a parasite, was worming its way up her spine, becoming more and more intense as it nestled into her brain. Gwin braced herself against the wall, groaning. No. This couldnt be happening. Not now.
Why could she hear beeping? Why did she feel so cold? Gwin didnt realise she had fallen, or the fact that she had hit her head on the corner on a table and that she was bleeding. The world around her had gone dark, but she could some distance sounds like the buzz of a light, the beep of a heart rate moniter, and the whispers of a sorrowful voice.
She lay on the floor, her body shaking and convulsing, breath struggling to escape her lungs as she gasped for air. LAIKA OF THQ

Adena disappeared into her room not long after their short conversation, intent to cut the talk and leave it as is. She was already reaching to turn her music all the way up when she heard a significant thump from the other room. Usually she was quick to ignore whatever her roommates did, but she pulled her door open and stuck her head out anyway. Immediate regrets.
She was bleeding, and she was generally just freaking out on the floor. "What the fuck..." She cut through the air, dragging her feet for a second longer before she rushed to her idiot roommate's side. She knew enough to know what not to do in a situation like this. Settling on the floor, she cradled her head in her hands, leaning over and watching the entire process unfold with little else she could do but keep her head safe.
