Adena immediately parted her lips to point out that yeah, it was a bad thing when people tried to be friends with her. Not for any particular reason, it was just that that wasn't ever what she was looking for. But he was prattling on about something else, and she was still standing there.
She looked down at his arm, then followed the line of it all the way back up to his face. Then she grinned.
"Why, so you can touch me like a deprived baby? That's weird."

He couldn't help the grin that spread across his lips at that. She was like no one he'd ever met before and it was thrilling. Had Isaac been anyone else, he might have fallen to his knees and vowed his everlasting low right there.
"If that's what you're into, sure." He said, offering her a shrug. He offered her his arm once more, not ready to give up just yet: She could toss whatever snark she had in her at him, but he'd already made up his mind.
"Take a chance on me, Spitfire. You might find yourself surprised."

To some extent, even Adena had to admit that he was funny. He had the skill to try and quip her just as quickly as she shot out at him. He didn't seem to care what anyone thought, even herself as she shot him down over and over again.
Did other people fawn over him? She didn't get it.
"Okay, fine." She replied finally, shrugging her shoulders; "But if you try to touch me, I'll snap your little twink arms off."

Holding his arms up, as if to prove his innocent intentions, he grinned. "You got it, boss."
Isaac pushed off the wall and slid his hands into his pockets. While he was disappointed she hadn't taken his arm, he was pleased she'd agreed to spend her precious time with him. That was a win by his book.
With that, the blonde started moving. He didn't give her the satisfaction by looking back to see if she was following. He simply assumed that she was. "So." He mused. "How's senior year treating you?" He asked; While he knew the particular group of students that had been playing hadn't been college students, he could only make an educated guess.

Adena was still clearly a mess but she didn't seem to mind it. Hell, she wouldn't have bothered to clean her face off of it weren't for the fact that he seemed to want that piss-weak knight in shining armour effect.
"Considering I'm allowed to throw shit at uptight bitches for an hour and get credit for it, I'd say it's pretty decent." She replied, following despite knowing she probably should have started walking in the opposite direction.

Her snarky comment earned her a chuckle. "Yeah, I could tell." He said, looking at her over his shoulder. He'd never seen someone thrive quite that much that wasn't going for it professionally. And even then, he doubted most of them actually enjoyed getting their asses beat to a pulp every day.
"What are you doing for college?" He asked. She didn't strike him as the kind of person who had a long term plan. That was fine, really. He didn't either and he was doing rather alright for himself.

College? Adena outwardly laughed at the question. She wondered then if she looked like the college type, or maybe that was just a natural assumption in American culture.
When she settled, she dragged out a low hum, like she was genuinely considering whether she should be honest with him. It wasn't as if she'd been totally honest about her name.
"I just wanna play baseball."

It was an unfair question, he realized. He'd hated it when he'd been in high school. It was as if everyone expected you to attend college and make something of yourself. And somehow, somewhere along the line, he'd become one of those people.
He didn't expect a serious answer from her. It seemed she was more keen on throwing shit his way, which was fine, rather than offer anything personal. But then she did and Isaac couldn't help the small smile that formed on his lips.
"Then why don't you?"

Adena didn't care much for whoever knew she liked baseball. There weren't many people she spent time with at the school, but there was always one place to catch her, and that was the field.
She sort of hoped he wouldn't try to look for her, though.
Still, there was some fleeting part of a conversation here, and she'd given into that, so she couldn't get mad for being questioned.
"Cause I'm talking to you, doll." She replied pointedly, grinning immediately.
