Have you ever wanted to do something at hyper speed? Tidy that mess in your room before letting a girl in? Getting changed in a flash? Homework in 2 seconds flat? Blast into the girls changing rooms? Well LDR can.



How he can is anyone's guess though. Some people have theorized that the cells must be supercharged with excess energy and thus cause LDR to move at blinding speeds, for the time being that is the only suitable explanation. If you were to ask him he'd probably stutter something about feeling weightless or that he must be related to the Flash somehow.



In fact most people aren't far off. Yes, it's true that his cells are supercharged with energy. However, the energy used isn't "excess" but rather his own cells working double time as his brain unlocks their potential speed. This means that his cells produce far more energy than average.



So, in conclusion his supercharged cells allow him to be move at a extremely high rate.



LIMITATIONS:
He can become damaged if he goes over speeds of 90mph. He can cruise safely around speeds of 70mph.



Unfortunely, LDR is still affected by the laws of physics no matter how fast he goes. This means that if he were to make contact with an object, be it person, car, wall or cow, whilst travelling at high speeds he, and the object, will take serious damage.



Whilst moving at high speeds his eyes have to work double-time in order to process all the information being hurled at him.


SIDE-EFFECTS:

Over-use of his power can lead to unconsciousness, migraines, nose-bleeds, small comas, disorientation, joint pain, fatigue, cramps, muscle pain( tearing of said muscles), weight problems.



Hyper-metabolism.



Major Heart regulatory problems. Due to his rapid movement and accelerated nature LDR's heart can easily drop out of proper rhythm or beat too fast.
Minor enhanced reflexes, i.e. can keep up with himself (mostly but going too fast can cause him to spaz out, trip over himself.)



Enhanced regeneration:

A huge side-effect of his super-speed is his uncanny Enhanced regeneration. Because his cells are working overtime at all times, it means that any damage sustained by LDR is fixed at a enhanced rate. The constant multiplying of cells mean that broken bones, cuts etc. heal within a day.


Limitations :



Certain injuries take longer to heal then others. For example, a cut could be healed in a few minutes whilst a broken bone could take a day or so.

LDR can not heal fast enough to avoid death.

For reasons unknown his rapid regeneration cannot fix his eyesight or anything that is in his base genetics. His power can only revert back to that state.

Side Effects:

Blood streamed down his face. The world around him had silenced. Like a movie turned on mute, he could see people talking but none of it registered. The ground beneath him flipped, throwing his vision into chaos, a never ending cycle of sky and earth.

"Lister Derwitt-Reynolds...manifested at 14 and can't recall any of it. Can you remember anything of that day?" The man tapped the file in front of him out of habit. Lister glanced at the man's eyes. They wore large rounded bags underneath them and held the same bloodshot nature that allnighters bring. "Anything at all?"

Lister was suddenuly aware of his silence and opened his mouth to speak "...

Arms reached to touch, feel, grab, lift him from the ground. Everything shaked and rattled as he was trundled into the the brightly lit white room. Suddenuly a caccophany of sound blasted into this small room. His world was surrounded in pain as he felt the flames burn his muscles and his brain felt like it was tearing and knitting itself.

"I'm s-s-s-sorry, it's-s-s all g-g-gone." This was a lie but people normally do not question those who struggle to even spit out some words without stuttering. 

The man stared at him, once-tired eyes now flickering across Lister's entire body. Instinctivilly Lister crossed his arms to make himself smaller. The man had seen straight through the lie "Tell me what really happened."

Someone had removed his shirt placing metal plates onto his chest. He became aware of two rapid beepings and then one of them stopped. His body convulsed, shaking uncontrollably as fire raged across him. A mouth was open but no noise seemed to come forth. Body still twitching the beeping returned. A woman wailed as the process began again. The noise his body made as it flailed against the table filled the world around him.

"I-I-I-I ca-can't remember" As he spoke the pain came flooding back, filling his mind. Something had happened but no matter how hard Lister tried to figure it out all he felt was the pain. Whatever had happened had resulted in something terrible. Someone had gotten hurt,broken, torn apart he just couldn't tell who it had been
