Telepathy
Tay's telepathic capabilities allows her to read the thoughts, project images/thoughts, and have mental communication to and from another living being. Her telepathy allows her to only communicate with those whom she can see or knows of their location, already has a strong mental link with, or those who have already communicated with her via they're own mental capabilities. She can only communicate with up to two people at a time, on a good day. Her capabilities can only allow a range of up to 1-2 blocks away when communicating with one person, compared to two people - which would be within a shorter distance. Her telepathic defense against other psionic/mental abilities is not as strong as most telepaths due to her minor/secondary ability. 


Telepathic Relay
The ability to become a telepathic tower/relay station or conduit for telepathic communication between a group of minds. Her current limit is a group of three people including herself. For the most part, Taylor can turn it on and off willingly as if it had a switch. Leaving it active is not only draining but allows herself (and the others) to be open to any psionic/mental attacks. The two others that Taylor has a link with would have to at least be 10 feet of her for it to be effective, unless Taylor has a strong link with the said person. 

LIMITATIONS:

Her ability can not work on mindless beings such as corpses, and robots, etc. Nor will it work on animals. Her range varies depending on the number of people. The more people the shorter the ranger (up to 10 feet) , the less people, the longer the range (up two 1-2 blocks). While her Telepathic Relay is active, she cannot communicate with anyone outside of the two others that she is currently linked with. She is vulnerable to psychic attacks by those who are as advanced or more advanced than her. And while using her Telepathic Relay, she is vulnerable one-hundred percent of the time due to having to keep her focus solely on linking two other people. Trying to shield others while being a telepathic relay is nearly impossible for her at the moment. When under stress/pressure, she may also be too overwhelmed when using her ability with more than one person at once. She can not use her ability unless she sees or has an idea on where the person is located. And while her Telepathic Relay is more controlled, there are times where Taylor's primary telepathic abilities may not be as controlled.

MISC: Other than the ones on each ear lobe, Taylor also has a piercing on the right side of her nose. There are no tattoos as of yet, but she does have old scarring on her upper thigh from a incident that involved hot water when she was a child.



PERSONALITY: Taylor often has inner battles of having to do what is "morally good" and doing what she, herself, believes is best. Despite being raised by parents who raised her to help others in need and do her best to be a good person... it isn't always that easy for her. Everything she does or chooses to do, she will often question herself if it's something that her parents would be proud of or not. It was hard for her to steer away from what her parents wanted for her because they were actually good people who have always uplifted her, supported her, and loved her unconditionally. Though, Taylor became upset with herself for always following what her parents wanted and has decided to do more of what she wants ever since she graduated from High School. 

She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth but doesn't act as if she's higher than anyone else because of it. Taylor often sees herself as equals with every single person in the world and takes the term "respect" to heart. She'll openly show you respect and will expect it back. Though, if she isn't shown respect in return, she'll get sassy - annoyed even. Taylor tries her best to keep it "classy and cute", but even that is hard to do when dealing with certain complex situations. 

Partner in Crime or a Momma Bear? Taylor is a bit of both depending on who she is with and situation at hand. She enjoys letting loose and enjoying her free time when she isn't drowning in her studies, but Taylor mostly finds herself being a type of support system for her friends and loved ones. She looks out for others so much than she looks out for herself and that has never really done her any good.


SECRET(S): Taylor lies about the scarring on her left thigh, telling people that she mishandled a pot of boiling hot water when she was a child. Her mother was the one who accidentally spilled it on her leg. She lies about it so that no one would judge her mother on her parenting skills. 

Taylor caught her father cheating on her mother when her abilities manifested. They both have yet to tell her mother.

She cried while losing her virginity to her first boyfriend. To this day, she has no idea why it happened nor does she speak on it.

♦ THE HISTORY ♦

Taylor was born and raised in Accra, Ghana which is in West Africa. Her father was originally from Congo, while her mother is a Ghanaian native. The two met during their time in college and eventually fell in love, which marriage came after.. Conceiving a child had been a complicated thing for the two, as they tried for years but would eventually conceive. She was their last try and refused to try again after she was born, leaving Taylor to be an only child. There were promises of them adopting just so that Taylor would not be alone - but that promise was not kept. Her father was a well known doctor who owned and co-owned a network of hospitals and minor clinics in Ghana, while her mother was a model and as well as a beauty pageant queen who won Miss Ghana once upon a time - then later became an activist for women's rights in Africa.

At a young age, Taylor was often forced into the pageant life and kept at it just to make her mother happy despite how stressful it was. Her mother then got her into modeling which became something that Taylor actually did enjoy. It was at the age of fourteen that cut her modeling career short. After coming home from school early one day, Taylor walked in on her father having sex with a "family friend". Of course, this did not go well with young Taylor and they had a whole blow out. Because of the sudden spike of anger and the high levels of stress, she was bombarded with both her fathers and the woman's thoughts. It was as if they made her out to be the crazy one when she asked them to stop and keep quiet. She couldn't explain what was happening but she knew the thoughts weren't her own... or maybe she was finally going crazy?

With the tension between her and her father, Taylor was already having a hard time at home - but to also receive a visit from two recruiters who were with the government as well as a boarding school in South Africa? That just added on even more drama within their household. There were a lot of disagreeing and arguing, but when her mother asked Taylor what may have triggered her abilities, she was unable to answer truthfully - telling them that it was school. Taylor and her parents were left with no other options than to let her attend the Le Roux Academy in South Africa. No matter how much she hated it. Coping with her new lifestyle was also difficult for her but eventually became "somewhat" easier for Taylor.

Taylor attended Le Roux up until her junior year of high school before transferring overseas to the Bellefonte Academy in the United States. The choice was brought by staff who thought that she would have more advanced help with her abilities in the States. She agreed, still lingering on the hate she had for her father and how disappointed she was in herself for still keeping it from her mother. The transfer was made and even though leaving the school and her friends would be hard, Taylor believed that she needed this. 

She eventually graduated after her senior year and decided to stay within the school after that, deciding that she was better off attending college there. The idea of being a recruiter was Taylor's own despite knowing the connections between the job and the government. Currently, she is going through her training to be a recruiter while working on her Sociology degree.
