It took quite a lot to make Gina angry, especially when it came to the students. Her focus was on the sound waves, though she certainly wished she would manipulate the air itself. Instead, she side stepped just a touch to avoid the plume of smoke. "The great Chicago fire was started because a cow kicked over an unattended lantern." She countered simply, brown eyes lifting to look right into Gwin's.
"Aside that, it is clearly against school policy to do such things on Campus." She shrugged a touch and then sat down a seat over from her. "Why the auditorium?" Her eyebrow arched, though it may not be easy to see in the darkened room. Gina wasn't accusing Gwin of anything or seeming ready to completely reprimand her. She was curious about the young woman. Off the top of her head she didn't quite recall what her abilities were. Gina smoothed out her skirt, keeping her focus on Gwin, quiet and expecting.

If it had been another administrator, perhaps they would have kept walking. Maybe thought they saw wrong and turned right back around. Not Gina though. Miss LaRoulle as she was known by at the school, had a particular little power that made hiding kind of useless. When Gwin spoke that little whisper, a small, but bright blue wave emitted from the area. Along with a few smaller multicolored waves at the movements of her hands and the phone. If the lights were on they might have gone unnoticed but here in the dark? They shone like a beacon.
Gina walked slowly, deliberately towards the area. As she mounted the steps the smell of pot smoke became more apparent. Her nose wrinkled a touch. She stopped and turned at the row where Gwin was trying to hide. "You know that is a fire hazard Miss Cooper." Gina spoke gently,in an accented English, giving away her Italian heritage. She was clear to understand though unless she was getting worked up. Then it was anyone's guess sometimes, especially if she started slipping into Italian.

She should have been home already to be quite honest. Technically she shouldn't have been to the school at all. Today was supposed to have been a day off for the music teacher but then Gina panicked and remembered there were a few things she hadn't finished the day before. So she'd called and said she was coming in...and then ended up staying and teaching all her classes anyway. Gina enjoyed teaching, liked helping the students find an appreciation for music, even if it meant having to listen to someone playing off key until they got the hang of things. Gina had actually spotted Gwin slipping into the auditorium but was giving her something of a headstart.
She hadn't talked much to the young woman, but knew of her in passing and seeing her around the campus. Being a staff member meant she did her fair share of making sure the students stayed out of trouble (and she was a nosy nancy). So Gina finished up what she had been doing and then very slowly opened the door, slipping inside. If Gwin was paying attention, Gina knew that she would spot the door opening anyway. That wasn't so important though, after all the point was to make sure no trouble was happening and that the girl was okay anyway.
Gina's gaze wandered, catching on the faint glow of Gwin's phone and slowly headed in that direction.

Those that possess Sound Wave Manipulation are able to perceive the sound waves that flow around them, whether it is from voices, musical instruments, sound effects, etc. Gina is strongest in manipulating musical sound waves.
Sound Wave Manipulation includes increasing and decreasing their decibel level and even altering the pitch. For example, Gina could listen to someone playing the flute and see the sound waves produced. Then she could manipulate the sound waves so the flute sounded like a trumpet instead.
LIMITATIONS:
*Handmotions - You cannot physically touch the sound waves, but you must focus on the part of the sound wave you want to change and move your fingers in the directions as you want to sound wave altered.
*Sensitive Ears - Sound Wave Manipulators experience heightened hearing. Not only can they perceive sound waves of all decibels, but they can hear them too. Many will wear some form of ear plug to aid this, but it isn't perfect. If a noise is loud enough it can still debilitate them even with the ear plugs.
*Distance - The closer the sound, the easier it is for it to be manipulated. Close sound waves also look bigger, more intense. Farther away they get smaller and more faded. Sounds that are farther away also take more concentration to manipulate
SIDE-EFFECTS:
*Headaches - Toying with noise takes more concentration than one would think. When trying to manipulate sound waves outside of what a normal human can hear, Sound Wave Manipulators will experience headaches of varying degrees.
*Mental Drain - Using sound waves as attacks also takes concentration and usually takes more of ones willpower to carry out than just experimenting would. After a set of small attacks or one big attack, the SWM is unable to use their ability until they've slept a minimum of 8 hours. The larger the attack, the more sleep is required
*Bleeding from nose or ears - After excessive use of this power, some Sound Wave Manipulators will experience a light nosebleed or ear bleed.

PERSONALITY:
Gina is much more of a wallflower now than she was in her younger years. She is slow to anger, but when she does get angry it's obvious. Her happy, mellow demeanor turns more passive-aggressive and she gets a little snarky. She is always willing to help out, even if it's something she's never done before. Gina is also an excellent listener, be it students, staff, or just a stranger in a coffee shop.
Silence is golden. Gina takes this statement quiet literally. She purposefully lives off campus and certain rooms of her home are reverse-sound proofed so no sound can get in. When you can hear and see sound all the time it can be quite taxing. In her downtime between classes, Gina can be found reading classic books like A Tale of Two Cities or Oliver Twist. She also enjoys playing the flute, though she can play a variety of instruments in varying degrees of proficiency. Gina is also just a touch of a perfectionist, she used to be worse when she was younger but now it applies in more specific areas.
Gina hates loud noises and that doesn't mean a loud crowd, though those can be unpleasant sometimes. Dog-Whistle level noises and higher put her in a foul mood and usually come with some kind of pain attached. She also dislikes tiny dogs and if anyone watched her or bothered to notice she never wore the color yellow nor were there any yellow decorations in her home or classroom.

♦ THE HISTORY ♦
Gina was born in the Italian country side in 1986 to a pair of fairly well off parents. She wanted for nothing and admittedly become somewhat spoiled as a result. It wasn't until she was 13 that her attitude, and her world, changed dramatically. On New Year's Eve in 1999 as midnight drew near, there was a house party on the LaRoulle Estate. Plenty of people, alcohol, and of course a large TV with a translated stream of the ball drop in London. Gina was supposed to be in bed but she had sneaked back downstairs. She had also sneaked a couple sips of wine.
Not long after that she began seeing things. Little lines of color, musical notes were coming from the TV, from people. She was confused, startled perhaps too. She rubbed her eyes, blinked a little, tried to reach out and touch them. She couldn't touch the lines but she noticed that they seemed to react to her finger movements - which freaked her out further. There was one little caveat about her family - they hated gifted people. She didn't know if that's what this was, but Gina also noticed that the sounds on the TV were distorting. People's voices were becoming unintelligible. It wasn't long before all eyes were on her while she panicked, trying to 'fix' things...whatever exactly was going on. Then her father shouted and Gina stopped everything. Seconds later, sounds were returning to normal.
Two days later, Gina was hand delivered to St. Bethany's in Manchester, England by the family driver. Her parents hadn't even said goodbye. She was confused, upset, unsure of herself and what all had happened. Like any young teenager though, it wasn't long before Gina started making friends and learning how to control her powers better. Once Gina understood what her powers were, and came to terms with the fact her family would more than likely never speak to her again, she started pushing herself harder to learn how to control them.
Gina found musical notes were what she was best at, so began focusing on this primarily. Though she pushed herself to manipulate other sound waves, it never worked quite as well - or at all. After one too many nosebleeds, fainting spells, and migraines, Gina was more or less confined to just improving what she was good at. She left St. Bethany's when she was 23 and met a Pyromancer named Leon not long after. He swept her off her feet and she fell for him hook, line and sinker.
Meeting him, Gina also discovered how much she loved fire. She loved looking at it, feeling the heat, got a little thrill at the potential danger that came with it. After being with him for three years, Gina also discovered his ties to the Italian Mafia. While she didn't like this one bit, she found out she was pregnant and couldn't bring herself to leave him. Instead, she married him. They had a daughter named Penelope and she thought things were going well - maybe Leon would even come around and try to get out before it was too late. It was hard for her to comprehend that once you were in, you were in for life.
Instead, Leon got more involved and actually started using Penelope as a tool to make Gina do various tasks. At the age of 30, Gina'd had enough. She knew she couldn't take Penelope with her - yet. So Gina fled to Stagfort where she knew a gifted school and safe haven was. Gone like a thief in the night. She used her maiden name and applied for the position of Music Teacher. With her abilities it wasn't difficult for them to decide to hire her. Now, she has made Stagfort her home and is still working on a safe way to bring her daughter over as well.
