The first person posts a wish, then the second poster grants the first wish, but with a twist so that the wish is rendered useless (or unwanted, maybe?) And then the second poster wish something of their own.
For example: Poster #1: I wish I had a million dollars. Poster #2: Granted, but you get it in pennies. I wish I had a hamburger right now.
I'll start us off!
I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow.

Many of her coworkers seemed to hate the closing shift, but her? She found enjoyment it. There was a special feeling to being inside the cozy diner when there was no one else. The lights were dimmed and the locale had an almost eerie feeling to it. The way the snow fell outside the large windows leading to the street only made it better, though, she supposed she was biased that way; she'd always loved the snow. While she didn't enjoy the cold as much, winter had an almost magical look to it.
The way the snow covered the branches and glittered in any source of light it could find...
Wiping her forehead, she started gathering empty glasses and dirty plates as she walked from table to table and putting them into a tray. The bell above the door signaled someone entering. Shit, had she forgot to lock the door again?
"Sorry, we're closed!" She called out. She put the tray down and turned towards the door. "You're going to have to come back tomorrow."

[attr="class","awtxt"]The youngest member of the Cross clan, the younger brother of Luxanna Cross and the son of Det. Noah Cross . We have no specific idea when it comes to the character's general personality, so you're fairly free there, though we'll let you know if there's anything that doesn't fit with the family canon. Noah's wife, and the children's mother died during 2014, right before the school moved from Kalispell to Stagfort, dying from the very same power that Lux now has. His history would have to fit with both Lux and Noah's, but other than that, you're more or less free.
If below eighteen, he'd have to be a student @ Bellefonte. If above, he could either be a local or a college student. Both parents were mutants, so the chances of him being one too is very likely.
She stared at him, expression blank; Whatever he was trying to say, the brunette didn't catch on. Then again, she supposed that wasn't really new when it came to Jack. She had known him for years now and even she had trouble understanding what he really meant from time to time.
"I'm not following." She tilted her head at him. "Aren't they one and the same?" There was no other meaning she could possible think he'd mean, after all. Maybe this was one of his many games and she was too slow to catch on. Was this some kind of running joke she'd forgotten?

It was hardly anything new for her father to be late. Even for something he'd arranged himself. In a way, she'd almost expected him not to show up at all, and she couldn't help but feel a little disappointed, which was probably what surprised her the most.
Her eyes followed Carter's movement as he rose. Disappointed was quickly replaced with a hint of amusement.
"We're in the living room." She remained seated, hand coming up to rest under her cheek. "At ease, soldier." She added, only for Carter's ears.

Lux usually reserved her late nights for her bartender gig, but when someone called in sick and they asked her to cover the shift, she didn't really have the heart to say no. Her hours were already skewed after working several days at the bar. In a row. So really, she didn't mind.
Lifting her gaze to the movement, Luxanna nodded. With a smile, she carried the coffee can over and filled the cup up. She stopped then, head tilting; She recognized the girl. She didn't remember her name, but she definitely recognized her.
It took her a moment before she realized she'd been staring. "Uh, oh, sorry."

Four years ago, she would have felt guilty by such an expression, even when faked. She supposed that she didn't spoke volumes of how much she too, had grown.
"Might as well make it one. Seems easy enough, don't you think?" Where she found all this newfound courage, she did not know. Perhaps his confidence was rubbing off on her, bit by bit. Perhaps it was something else entirely.

Lux's eyes narrowed at that. "Hey." She pursed her lips. "Being a bartender is pretty great, I'll have you know." Had it not been childish, she would have been tempted to stick her tongue out at him. She wasn't mad or even offended. Why would she be? Even Lux knew that being a bartender couldn't even be weighed against the prospect of running your own business. Especially not with, what she assumed was, a multi-million dollar company.
Even Lux felt the challenge being presented to her, and even she couldn't walk away from it.
She pointed a finger at him, though. "At least I'm not riding daddy's back to get through life." She raised her eyebrows at that, the corner of her lips quirking upwards.

Now, Lux would never claim to know a whole lot about the way genes worked, but if there was one thing she knew, it was they had a way of being passed on. "Well, at least your chances are greater than most, I'd assume." She offered a slight shrug at that; to her, it made sense. He had it in his genes, who was to claim that didn't up his chances?
She chuckled then, even tempted to roll her eyes. Perfect? Now, that sounded more like the Carter she knew back then. Still, she supposed the change was a breath of fresh air.
"I don't think you could ever be considered an anomaly. At least, not in the bad sense of the word." Another shrug; It was the truth.

Her efforts to shift the conversation seemed to work. She didn't much care for the reason as to why. She felt relieved, it was all that mattered.
The brunette smiled at that; It was a foreign concept to her, having a twin, but she supposed it made sense. People often sought out the things they were familiar with. What they knew.
It was nice, though. Hearing him talk about his future like that. "That doesn't surprise me at all." She mused.
"Look at you, planning ahead."

They were nearing the kind of conversational topic that Lux didn't necessarily enjoy thinking about. She had thought about it, of course. She moved to the couch and dropped down, pulling her legs up with her. She fell silent for a moment, wondering how she could best answer his question without having to answer more.
"I'm female, of course I have." Maybe that would humor him enough. She even added a humorous smile to enhance the joke. Still, she wasn't sure if she could properly hide how uncomfortable she suddenly felt about it. Instead, she turned her attention to her hands. It was the only way she knew how to.
"So, how many would you want?"

She stared at him for a moment; He'd invited her to ask her to hang out? She felt tempted to point that out, but instead, simply sighed. Couldn't he just have texted her? And what was up with how weird he acted about it?
"Uhm." She furrowed her brows, thinking. "Yeah, I think I'm free." She offered him a shrug. She didn't think she had work that day, but that could easily change. "What did you have in mind?" She liked hanging out with Jack. After all, he was her only friend. Especially now after the school had moved and she didn't have nearly as much time for him now that she had two jobs.

Was he seriously considering it? Of course, it wasn't something he was considering in the moment, but in general? It struck her as odd, though, then again, she'd never given the idea of Carter exploring that side of things. Maybe she'd thought he'd continue down the path he always had.
Change wasn't something that came easy to people, she'd come to learn.
"You're not exactly running out of time, either." She pointed out. Men rarely did.
