Wes has the ability to manipulate earth and it’s elements. He is able to shape minerals derived from earth and use them as projectiles or shields. He also has the ability to easily burrow through earth for fifteen minutes before he loses energy.
LIMITATIONS:
He can only manipulate existing earthen materials and not create them
He has to be close to the element to manipulate it
He can only manipulate what he can see, nothing beyond that
He cannot create major earthquakes, just enough to crack the surface over a fifty yard radius
He cannot grow trees overnight, just able to manipulate the soil to make it grow faster over time
He cannot make barren lands fertile
SIDE-EFFECTS:
He always smells earthy
His hands are always dusty
He’s prone to dry skin, rashes and irritation
He needs more showers than normal, using special soaps and lotions
Overusing his abilities causes head-splitting migraines that can knock him out cold
If he’s indoors for too long, it will make him lose energy faster

"Colin and Victoria Archer had always wanted a big family of their own. They married young and they tried immediately but fate just didn't grant them their wish. Two miscarriages and failed IVFs later, they decided they would open their homes to foster children. No sooner did they come up with that idea, however, Victoria found out that she was pregnant. Miraculously, she managed to reach full term and delivered a baby boy on a beautiful day in May and they named him Wesley.
He was the light of their lives and they cherished and adored him and for seven whole years, Colin and Victoria didn't think of bringing another person into their lives. Wesley was perfect.
And everything changed once Victoria announced that she was pregnant a few days after Wesley's sixth birthday. His life came crashing down from the pedestal he was rightfully put on-"
"Oh hush Wesley, you were elated when Prudence was born."
"Mum, you're ruining my bedtime story."
Victoria rolled her eyes as she adjusted herself on the hospital bed while her son spoke to her belly.
"As I was saying, the handsome and already brilliant Wesley's life was turned upside down-"
"Wesley..."
Wesley grinned and tapped on Victoria's belly. "You're going to have to learn the hard way that mum will never let you live your truth."
Victoria smacked Wesley up the head and laughed. "You're a horrible boy."
"I am a grown ass twenty-six year old who trains horrible boys...and girls on how to use their powers, Mother."
The matriarch of the Archer family rolled her eyes again but kept quiet.
"So Prudence was born three months before my seventh birthday so you can imagine how horribly neglected I was. But, me being the gracious young man that I was, I welcomed her with open arms. Don't tell her I said this to you but honestly, she was the best thing that ever happened to me.
"The moment she opened her eyes, I knew I would do anything to protect her. And I did. For the most part. She's a clumsy one, your big sister. I swear gravity was not her friend and she was like a tumble weed when she started walking. I asked mum whether we should give her a special helmet for it. My genius was never appreciated in this household. I never understood why.
"I did a pretty damn good job though, would you believe. I absolutely mastered changing diapers, feeding her, playing with her. She was like a little doll that I could manipulate. If mom pops another one when you grow bigger, I'll teach you how to do that. You're gonna be a chick magnet, my little guy. I just know it.
"So anyway, the best part of growing up was also having two living entertainment centers in mum and dad. You're going to find out soon enough but mum and dad...and me and Prue are all mutants. Mum can move water like Katara. Oh dude, it will be my greatest honour to introduce you to the best animation series in the entire world. So mum's Katara and dad's got some healing powers. I know, they're sickeningly perfect for each other." Wesley chuckled at Victoria who couldn't help but smile.
"I found out I also have powers. I was like...thirteen. I'm Toph, little dude. Mum and dad had set up a treasure hunt for us and had hidden clues all around the garden and of course, the treasure was buried. We were given toy shovels of course and I was impatient because they were really flimsy plastic shovels so I dug with my hands. They buried it really deep too. I think they just wanted us to spend the entire day out of their hair. They did that all the time."
Victoria smacked Wesley up the head again and raised an eyebrow. He gave her a shit eating grin and continued the story. "And would you know it, the minute I put my hand in the dirt, it actually moved out of the way to reveal the treasure box! I don't know who was more excited, me or mum and dad. And then this man came over two days later from this place called St. Bethany's and I was whisked away. I did pretty well there I think. There weren't many of the students there that had parents who were also mutants so I was somewhat of a commodity. There are a lot of things there that happened that I can't tell you because mum's here but I did pretty well. I graduated top of my class and I got a scholarship to a really good uni where I also did...well." He bit back the smirk as he recalled his partying days back in uni. His mother of course gave him a look which he ignored as he continued.
"And then there was this whole thing about mutants being exposed and dad got freaked out. Nobody actually knew we were mutants but dad just wanted to take precautions, you know? That's why we moved here. You're technically going to be an American, my dude. We've settled here so you're just going to have to be cool without the accent.
"That aside, when we all moved here, Prue was still in training so she went to Bellefonte. It's like St. Bethany's but a little lamer. You're gonna fit right in, mate. I then realised I needed a job and dad isn't about the handouts. You'll thank him later. So I decided to get a job in Prue's school and here we are now waiting impatiently for you to come out. Hurry up, mate. I can't wait to meet you."
