► What is your plotting philosophy? I generally don't like threads that have no set reason as to why they exist. For example, I don't see the point in two characters meeting unless there's a reason to. I'm here to develop and build my characters and other's, not to write just for the sake of writing.
I can do both planned threads, and those that happen spontaneously. I don't mind threading something out to reach a specific point, but don't expect my characters to act out of character. They'll react the way they do and if that ends up not meeting all your hopes and desires, then oh well. I'm not compromising my characters. So in truth, I don't think threads can be 100% planned out, whether you want them to or not.
ACTIVITY
► How often can you reply to a thread? It comes down to three things: muse, time and level of exhaustion. I go with my muse, always. That can mean you can get several replies per day, or once every other. This can also mean that I can put my focus on one character (or thread, even) over others. It's nothing personal. It's just where my muse's at.
► How long are you willing to wait for a reply to a thread? Two weeks and chances are, I've lost interest. Once these two weeks have passed, I'll remove the bookmark of the thread.
► What about volleying? Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It depends on the character, my muse and how easy I feel the pairing is to volley with. This generally goes hand in hand with how well I know the player I'm threading with.
► Tagging There's only two reasons you should be tagging me. 1. We're OFFICIALLY volleying, or 2. I've given you permission to. Otherwise, don't tag me. It's annoying and I'll put your thread on the bottom of my to-do list.
► Contacting you? I generally don't make a habit of replying to other people's plot pages, but feel free to use mine. Or send me a message here. Or on discord. Or Facebook if you're lucky enough to have me there. Whatever floats your boat.
► Anything else? If a thread, pairing or ship (or anything in between) isn't working out or being fun, tell me. No point in dragging something along that isn't fun for either part of the party. Say we have a ship together and it grows stale or didn't work out the way you'd hoped, let me know. We'll figure it out. And this goes both ways, by the way. I expect people to act maturely when receiving the same kind of feedback. Don't get salty. It's life. Shit happens.
Communication is everything.
LIMITS
► Godmodding As long as it's within reason, I don't mind. If say, you want your character to take mine's hand, go for it. In combat terms, don't godmod. Keep it realistic. Simple as that.
Don't assume anything about my character unless I've shared it or it's public information. Don't assume my character's reaction or actions. I control my character and their reactions/actions. You don't.
► Romance I very rarely allow planned romantic plots to be part of my list of things to exist. The only exception is with players I know I have a decent amount of chemistry with and know that whatever happens will be great.
Romantic plots should happen naturally and not be forced. And when they do, I'm not selling my soul. If the ship eventually ends up not working, growing boring or whatever other reason, it can end. I'm not interesting in clinging to a ship if both players aren't keen.
As for types of romantic plots... I'll do them all. I'll do the one night stands, the marriages, the hate ships, the rejection, hate, despair, creepy, disgusting. To a certain degree, anyways.
► Violence We can play it out, imply it or fade to black. However, if playing it out, let's keep it simple. I don't really care how many punches my character can take before hitting the ground, or how much time your character has spent sumo wrestling. I'm game for whatever the thread requires, though, but let's be mature and realistic about it.
► Sex I'm not here to write long and detailed smut threads with you. I don't mind implying, writing it out or fading to black, but really, I don't care much for all the gritty details either.

PLOTTING PHILOSOPHY
► What is your plotting philosophy? What kind of plots do you prefer? Is there certain plots you're not interested in? Do you like to plan the threads out or have a goal with the thread? Do you prefer being spontaneous and seeing what happens, or maybe you prefer something else? Tell us about it here!
ACTIVITY
► How often can you reply to a thread? Does it depend on your mood? The day of the week, or are you generally free to post whenever?
► How long are you willing to wait for a reply to a thread? Are you willing to wait for a thread for months? A specific amount of time? If so, why?
► What about volleying? Do you enjoy posting back and forth with other people rapidly? How do you like being approached about this subject?
► Tagging What about tagging? What are your thoughts on that? Would you liked to get tagged whenever someone posts for you, or maybe you only want to get tagged if you're volleying with someone? Do you never want to get tagged?
► Contacting you? Where do you prefer being contacted about plots? Do you prefer being sent messages? Plot pages? Discord? Skype? Where would you prefer someone asking you if they have a question regarding a thread, or something else?
► Anything else? Tell us about it here.
LIMITS
► Godmodding What are your thoughts on having other characters control certain events regarding your character? For example, if a character were to punch yours, would you prefer them writing out the punch landing, or leaving it open and give YOU the choice to decide whether it hit or not?
► Romance What are your thoughts on romantic plots? Is it something you like being planned ahead of time, or are you more interested in letting romantic plots develop naturally? What kind of romantic plots do you like, or not like? For example, would you be comfortable having your character rejected by someone? What about one night stands? Age differences?
► Violence What are your limits regarding violent threads? Keep in mind that Proboards TOS is PG-13, so all threads must follow these rules, but are you uncomfortable writing plots related to physical/sexual/mental abuse? What about fights? Do you prefer it being implied? Fade to black? Playing it out?
► Sex What about sex? What are your thoughts on your comfortable level on this topic? Again, Proboards TOS needs to be followed, which would make all sex scenes follow the PG-13 rules, but there are still ways to play around with that. Do you prefer implying it? Fade-to-black? Playing it out? Or maybe you'd rather avoid sexual plots altogether?

You can only use one character per playby, unless you're using one playby for a set of twins. You can only reserve a play by for a week, but once the week is up, you can refresh it (in moderation). Playby's are used as the face of your character, and they have to be a real, professional person. Such as an actor/actress, model or a musician. You can only reserve a playby, and claim it until your character have been accepted. Face Claims MUST be thirteen years or older.
MEL reserves DOBREV, NINA until xxx. MEL reserves FONSECA, LYNDSY until xxx.

Keep in mind that we're not a battle oriented site. We're a slice-of-life setting that just happens to have superpowers included, so there's really no need for powers that focuses on x amounts of attacks and x amounts of ways to defend yourself against x amounts of attacks.
As for powers overall, the general rule of thumb is: if it can be explained by science, then it's acceptable here, though, explained by science is a loose term.
Powers develop between the age of 11-15, where 16+ is RARE. Powers generally develop when the character reaches puberty. For those of you who would like to have characters new to the school, it's easy to have a late manifestation in order to make that happen, but there ARE other ways. There are plenty of other schools like Bellefonte all across the world. Why not have your character live closer to one of those, and then transfer to Bellefonte at a later time before opting for a later manifestation? The staff reserves the right to tell you to make your character manifest at a younger age.
No, your character cannot skip recruitment. It will happen. It always happens. Depending on how severe the manifestation is and how close they are to the school, the recruitment will happen within three weeks: If your character lives in Stagfort, they will be recruited within a day or two, if they live in the next state, maximum a week, etc.
► THE POWER
Keep in mind that when writing your ability, you should keep it detailed, yet simple enough for someone with power mimicry to be able to copy your power without asking a million questions.
How does your ability work for YOUR character? How does your character use their ability?
Keep things realistic. If your character is fourteen years old, they wouldn't automatically be a god at it. Abilities grow with age and training. Give your ability a chance to grow. The younger the character, the weaker the ability, and the more the character need to train and hone their ability.
This usually go hand in hand with control: No one develops a power and has instant control and mastery over it. While there are some prodigies who grasp their powers quicker than others, it overall takes a lot of training.
► LIMITATIONS
Limitations and weaknesses are not necessarily the same thing. Limitations are there to make sure your power isn't overpowered. Such as for example; the range of your ability, what the power is immune against, how many times it can be used, how long it can be used. REMEMBER TO COUNTER STRONG POINTS WITH WEAK ONES.
Does your character need to use their hands or body in order to control their ability better? Do they need to focus? Will the ability stop if they lose their focus? Does this ability require something that the character cannot necessarily provide (Oxygen for fire creation, a source of water for water manipulators, etc)? Can your character's ability be shaped into forms, if so, which ones? What's the largest form they can make? How intricate?
► SIDE-EFFECTS
What kind of side-effect does your character experience when using their ability? Are some of them rarer than others? What happens if they overuse their ability? Does the ability give your character headaches? Mental or physical drain? Exhaustion, insomnia, restlessness? Does it make your character agitated, easily hungry/thirsty, does it affect your character's health or personality?
The other thing to remember is that: the more powerful the ability, the harsher the side effect. With those two principles in mind, you can generally create whatever ability you wish.
